What is in Venetian plaster and types?
Venetian plaster is a type of decorative wall covering that is crafted from the finest quality materials. The price of this plaster is not subject to any variations; however, it will cost more if the substrate is damaged and requires repairs and conditioning. If it is damaged, it will need to be repaired and the colour will not be as vibrant as before. If the plaster is not properly maintained, it will lose its colour and may need to be repainted.

Decorative
plasters are used to create ornate effects that ordinary paints can't achieve.
Decorative plasters, like Venetian Stucco, are made from limestone and a
variety of mineral ingredients. They are environmentally friendly and highly
durable. Each type of decorative plaster has a different structure and finish.
Here are some examples of some of the most common types:
Grassello
is a high-end product made from micro-filtered lime putty. This plaster gives
walls an exceptional shiny finish and can be applied in very thin layers. It
also has virtually no pores and is waterproof and easy to apply. It is easy to
apply and has a higher yield than any other Marmorino Polished Plaster.
Marmorino
The
history of Marmorino Venetian plaster dates back to ancient Rome, where it was
commonly used on the exterior of Roman villas. It is even mentioned in
Vitruvius's De architectura (history of Rome, 1st century B.C.) But only
centuries later was it found to be conforming to a classical ideal. Here are
some of its advantages. Read on to find out how it differs from other plasters.
The
finish of Marmorino Venetian plaster is a classic Venetian style. It can be
left with a matte finish or polished to a high sheen. A highly polished
Venetian plaster can look like marble or polished stone, and is a durable,
moisture-resistant material. Unlike other Venetian plasters, Marmorino Venetian
plaster is also easy to maintain. For this reason, it is an excellent choice
for public buildings, such as churches and palaces.
Lucido Grassello
The
Venetian style of decorating is rooted in the rich history of the Venetian
housing culture. This plaster is incredibly thin and combines lime and
micro-filtered lime putty with metallic and marble four. When used on interior
walls and ceilings, it gives a highly polished and matt finish. It can be used
on entire walls, feature ceilings, or even for accent walls.
A
new mineral-based decorative wall coating from VALPAINT honors the tradition of
Venetian plaster. This product combines natural minerals and components with
ease of application. It also has lower filling properties than standard
Venetian plaster. It also resists loss of matt quality, while facilitating a
proper alkaline environment. Moreover, it has anti-microbial properties and
inhibits microorganism growth.
Marmorino Classic
Applying
Marmorino is easy. All you have to do is wipe it with a damp cloth. You can
also use a worn sanding sponge to remove minor dirt. Avoid using low-grit paper
when sanding Marmorino, however, since this can result in a scratched surface.
Alternatively, you can apply water to the plaster with a rag or brush. Be
careful not to get oil on the plaster, as this will result in a discolored
finish.
When applying the plaster, you should start by troweling a thin layer from top to bottom. Try to avoid scraping the surface as it will result in chattering. The more textured the first layer is, the more variation it will have in the final coat. After applying the plaster, allow it to dry completely before sanding off the edges. Allow it to dry for a day or so.
